With support from

Clwb Ifor Bach, Cardiff - Thursday 15th November 2001

Last night of the tour and therefore party atmosphere a go go. Again Johnny Zhivago were meant to be supporting tonight, but decided against showing up after the Newcastle debacle. (Wisely it seems, with The Jellys on stage just half an hour after doors open).

So yet again we get the same set from The Jelly's, although CJ's voice was officially buggered (wonder if that had anything to do with Portsmouth's healthy glow?) but he still sings brilliantly, with 'Doctored For Supersound' and 'Kings Of Garageland' taking most of the plaudits.

SG5 again are on top form tonight. The main set is identical, however special note must go to the brilliant 'I'm A Lover Not A Fighter' where Ginger teaches the crowd the words (like we didn't know them already). We also get less pyro tonight because the venue is about 10 foot square and 7 foot high, and therefore gets extremely cramped and sweaty very quickly. It feels like a proper gig.

RANT MODE - There's been a lot of talk recently about crowdsurfers (my view - shoot the bastards repeatedly) but I'd like to add a point to the debate. Namely stupid bitches who decide to use my windpipe as an elbow rest. Could people just please go to gigs and enjoy themselves without putting others in discomfort/danger? Or are you all happy to carry on like cunts? I'll let you decide.

Anyway, back to the show, and the encore was so special tonight, not only because Random's lead on 'Bodies' being resurrected from earlier in the tour, but an extra treat in the form of 'Inglorious'. Yeah you heard me, two songs from Fishing For Luckies - we are indeed privileged. The show was not quite as good as Portsmouth but it was still an amazing gig.

Now all I need to do is convince Ginger to play Schizophonic and Sky Babies on the next tour and I'll die happy. .
