Erstwhile Dogs D'amour frontman Tyla really is the stuff legends are made of.
The man has lived it all, and snorted and drunk most of it. At his drunken peak (or low, if you'd rather), Tyla thought nothing of cutting himself open with broken glass, and at their musical peak, the Dogs were the finest blues rock band in the country (check out the almost perfect 'Errol Flynn' album for proof).
No-one can survive like that forever though, and Tyla eventually embarked on a solo career that, whilst not as wild as his former life, would see him mature as a song writer and put out a string of solid albums.
The good news, as we approach the end of 2002, is that our man has decided to put the Dogs back together, following 2001's toe-in-the-water 'Happy Ever After' album.
Time to dust off those cowboy boots and spotted shirts.
