Pessimist - Live from Reading 2004 |
|
Biography |
'If we have anything that resembles a
motto, at the moment, it would be "rock out with your cock out".
TAT: a 3 piece melody driven punk band formed in 2002 by now 19 yr
old front woman TatianaDeMaria. They play what they want, from Punk to
Power Ballads, from Ska to Hip Hop, all however, respecting their
general path of energetic loud rock with a meaning.
Over the years TAT suffered an almost complete line up change with the
gradual replacement of its original members due to commitment clashes.
The band now stands as a three piece with TatianaDeMaria on Guitar and
Vocals Nick Kent on bass, and Jake Reed on drums. 'We're burning up with
energy to just get up and kick out fast loud melodies and go all out. We
get the biggest kick out of seeing people getting off on our music, just
the way we do with bands we adore.' says Tatiana. 'Its very important to
us though, that every song has its meaning. If a song is gonna be a piss
take its gotta be an all out piss take.. but if its gonna be anything
else, its gotta be lyrically "right" and have substance. if we've
achieved that with a melody we like, then we're ready to rock !'
TAT recently supported The Offspring in Paris and are heavily
supported by the EXtreme Sports channel. The band have been touring and
promoting their latest 'Live' single (Pessimist)
from the UK Reading festival 2004 and documentary on the band itself and
their summer tour 2004 ('Another Wasted Summer'), which includes NASS
Festival, Newquay's 'Animal Beach Band Ball' and others.
The band have released two singles themselves, including their debut
single
Peace, Sex & Tea and their
'live' follow up,
Pessimist, which entered the
UK rock chart at no. 18. Having just played a bunch of Summer festivals
touring their new material, including Download Festival, (for which they
received a 4K review in Kerrang!) and an arena tour of Poland, the band
are now taking time to record some new material and prepare for their
new releases in the new Year
