Formed from the ashes of Iscariot's Kiss
(Polly and Jef), Summerland (Ginna), Blue Dog (Robbie) and some
miscellaneous rock n roll bands (Scottish), we bring you Phluid. Phluid
finally reached it's current line up when Polly, Jef and Scottish decided
the band they had, Relish, needed an injection of Rock n Roll, it came in
the form of stalwart drummer for all occasions, Ginna, and the shredder
Oz.
If modern rock music appears to be entirely comprised of po-faced, nu-metal
chest beaters and humourless, post-grunge whingers, someone clearly forgot
to tell Phluid. Embracing the sleazy,
feel good vibes of true rock 'n roll, they are about flamboyance,
entertainment and tangible exuberance.
Existing in a glittering underground world of cheap sex (and even cheaper
drugs) this Leeds based quintet utilise huge grooves, danceable beats and
melodies to die for! Mixing the charismatic swagger of
The Wildhearts with the garage punk of
The D4, they channel fire from the current revisionist 70's rock explosion
and temper it with f**k off big tunes. |
