Are you in need of good rock &
roll with great melodies, hooks, riffs and passion? Then you need the Love
Injections!
Formed by Thomas, KJ and Tobias in the fall of 2001 the Love Injections
creates a special kinda racket by blending all their musical influences
and creativity into songs that combines good time rock & roll, power-pop
and a no-holds-barred attitude. The members of the band share a burning
passion for music and in particular rock music.
Four decades of rock'n'roll
Growing up listening to bands like the Rolling Stones, Alice Cooper,
The
Raspberries, Aerosmith, New York Dolls, Cheap Trick,
Kiss, Hanoi Rocks,
Guns 'N' Roses and The Wildhearts the creative forces behind the Love
Injections had front-row seats in the school of rock & roll and learned
the importance of having good songs and the right kind of attitude
performing them. Having a good time doing what they do is what drives
the Love Injections and we hope that atleast some of that fun rubs off
on you, the listener.
In the beginning...
Awright! Now that we've gotten that off our chests let's take a look at
the history of this bunch of reprobates...
It all began sometime around 1997 when KJ and Thomas, at the time both
residents of adjoining Swedish small towns, bumped into each other due
to their common interest (read: fanaticism) in good trashy rock & roll.
At this point Thomas was playing in a band called Plan Nine (with whom
he recorded a bunch of demos, one mini-LP and one LP - the latter two
being released by different indie-labels). KJ was singing in a band
called The Jackals (who released 2 demo tapes and appeared on a couple
of tribute albums). The drummer in The Jackals was none other than Tobbe
and since he also had a passion for good R&R music, plus the fact that
the two bands sometimes partied together he soon got to know Thomas
aswell. The three got along great together and had lots of common
ground.
Lost boys
Now we fast-forward to the fall of 2001. Thomas was feeling that he had
lost the plot somewhat with Plan Nine and, not knowing that KJ and Tobbe
was having the same experience with The Jackals, he decided to look into
the possibilities of starting a new band. And so with the intention of
getting a side-project going he asked his partners-in-rawk KJ and Tobbe
if they would be interested in being part of something like that.
The response was very positive and they saw this as a chance to do
something new and decided to quit The Jackals. Soon after this Thomas
decided to quit Plan Nine aswell and the Love Injections was a fact!
Boys meets girl, girl meets boys
The search for other equally passionate rock & rollers to fill the bass
& 2nd guitar spots was under way and by recommendation from Tobbe's
brother the band met with bassist Rebecca in the early summer of 2002
and decided to join forces.
Back on track
After a couple of weeks of rehearsing the Love Injections decided that
they would enter the studio as a four-piece to record what was to become
the band's very first release - the 7 track demo CD simply titled "Love
Injections". So what's next? A million dollar record deal? Stadium
tours? World domination? Well, how the f*ck should I know!? Stay tuned
and you'll find out! |
