Right now they're young and fresh and their soaring lead lines are for YOUR future bedroom air guitar fantasies. Nobody else out there today has the right combination of naively and rock aesthetic to pull it off like this. If someone else dared to utter the line "I'm Warhol Crucified" it would be intensely annoying, it would be totally wrong, but DNA Doll are allowed to do this right here, right now, because..... just because.
DNA Doll have the audacity of Early Manics, the musical confidence of
Mansun, the preposterous cheek to take from Bowie and add the bite of
Guns 'n Roses and more than ever in these Badly Drawn days we need rock stars who are larger than life, we need
Marilyn Manson, we do not need Coldplay. Right now DNA are needed, they're a breath of over the top larger than life fresh air, celebrate them now, they might just be the band the Manics once threatened to be before they got boring.
