Weaned on the alternative rock of the Nineties and merging some of the vitality, heaviness and ethereal elements of the
Deftones with the punk rock energy of Hole, Die So Fluid paint a dark, harmonic and passionate soundscape whilst still feeding off the raw aggression of
The Stooges.
Grog (bass/vocals) and Drew (guitar), former core members of notable goth/rock underground favourites
'Feline', joined forces with Keith Moon inspired ex-Gigantic
drummer, Al Fletcher, in London, where the three piece have recorded an incredible body of songs with producer Pat Collier (original bass player with the legendary
Vibrators, and whose credits include Primal Scream and the Jesus and Mary
Chain).
Tearing up the U.K. club circuit the band are already gathering considerable interest in the U.S. as well as the U.K.,having supported the likes of
Drowning Pool, Vex Red, Rachel
Stamp, The Wildhearts and Boy Hits
Car. Their debut independent release, 'Operation
Hypocrite', was awarded 'single of the week' on the Radio One Rock Show hosted by Mary Anne Hobbs.
Their second release, 'Suck
Me Dry', demonstrates the emotional intensity of the band, as featured on the Channel 4 show 'Daisy Daisy' in which Grog demonstrates her vocal prowess. Die So Fluid's current release is titled
'Disconnected' ,and is has already received plays on the Radio One Rock Show, Ian Camfield's XFM rock show and you can go and vote for the track on the Total Rock chart at
TotalRock.
Fronted by underworld siren Grog, the trio's attitude is to "use metal and don't lose punk". Hard-edged, raw and individual, Grog says "my tongue slices into the corpulent torso of society like a chainsaw". Why compromise?
