Nobody's Heroes |
dBd formed early in 2002 from the ashes of
various bands. Four different personalities, united by the energy &
passion of their music. Owing much of their sound to the aggression &
ideals of bygone punk rock idols such as The Clash, The Ramones &
even Billy Bragg, intertwined with the modern sounds of Green
Day, Rancid & Dropkick Murphys. The four share the same goal,
wanting people to drink, dance & sing along to their tunes whether it be
in a sweaty, cramped watering-hole or blasting from your CD player at a
party. |
To the media, it´s punk rock, anthemic pop
punk. To dBd, it's a lifestyle. Jump on the bandwagon early to avoid
being labeled a sell-out!
dBd have played up, down & across the UK, including headlining
Newton-Le-Willows music festival 2004. After gigging extensively in
2005, dBd are currently organising dates for 2006. Completing a very
successful 2 week tour of the USA which included the British Invasion
tour, San Bernadino, USA and playing along side the likes of
Vice Squad, The Adicts, GBH, Varukers & many more. The band have
been invited to return to the USA in October 2006 for an extended tour.
dBd have also played alongside the likes of 999, The Dogs D'Amour,
The Real McKenzies, Dangerlust and have recently been given support
slots for The UK Subs and Sham 69. Watch out for dBd
supporting some top acts in 2006
The band has several recordings, most notably their last two EPs, "This
Time" (released: 22/02/04) & "Rise As One" (released: 07/08/04) & have
now completed their debut album
Nobody's Heroes.
which is released on
SOS records.
Media comments include:
The best of the up and coming UK punk talent Seems like the next best
thing! Care free, young, & with a distinctive anthemic, raucous attitude
This is the great thing about them, you will bop, pogo or just go crazy
whether you like it or not! dBd songs have got dBd stamped all over ´em,
they stand out, they sound different, & you can tell the quality in the
songwriting straight away Matt (Frodsham) lurches into the punters
faces, screaming lyrical anthems nose-to-nose & all is looking good
