Biography |
|
|
Progressive, aggressive and excessive, The
Authentics music unites against ennui and apathy as they burst into 2006
with their soon to be released self produced CD “Supercharged”.
Resounding with jaw-dropping riffs, eye-watering solos and centrepiece
harmonies, The Authentics have seen their fair share of life's stresses
and tragedies to produce a tough record of blistering paced songs,
lightened by the band's talented grasp of melody. |
Rapidly ascending in 2005, with their acclaimed 4 track CD “Back Down to
Earth” gaining significant positive press feedback from the likes of the
BBC, Powerplay Magazine, Metal Hammer, Unpeeled and numerous fanzines,
The Authentics also released a DVD video of their song “Four Walls”
which saw the band turn into stop-motion puppets.
Alternating between storming heavy-rock
guitar and euphoric melodies, The Authentics performed at the 2005
Bulldog Bash Festival during summer, alongside rockers Therapy? and
Terrorvision and their vibrant and diverse sound secured them great
reviews and airplay on Pulse Rated, Sky Digital Channel 905.
Their loyal and dedicated fanbase have followed the band’s constant
gigging throughout the year and The Authentics have notched up over 50
gigs in 8 months playing across the UK in well renowned venues such as
The Old Vic (Derby), The Rockgarden (London), The Charlotte (Leicester),
Marrs Bar (Worcester), The Social (Nottingham) and ending the year at
the world-famous Cavern Club in Liverpool.
2005 highlights also included supporting WWE Superstar Chris Jericho’s
band Fozzy and US rockers, The Bamboo Kids, whilst plenty of head
shaking rock action was had by over 500 people at their homecoming gig
at DeMontfort University Student Union.
Switching effortlessly between different musical styles, the band have
had their songs remixed by up and coming DJ Wandii (EMI) and Eye on the
Wall Recordings and have featured on radio stations Flat Four Radio,
Radio Danko (Canada), Cuttlefish Radio and Purple Haze (Argentina).
They continue to gain followers from around the world including Japan
and the USA using their recently re-launched official homepage and enjoy
interacting with their fans who can contact them and enjoy updates via
