Audiogene |
Audiogene release their first single ‘Eyes
Wide Open’ on Rocket Boy Records in Jan 04. To promote the single they
plan to gig gig gig!
The belief in Audiogene is starting to count. Two names from the music
world have lined up behind the guys. Bob Grace the band’s new publisher
signed David Bowie, Sting, Dire Straights, Graig David, The Spice Girls,
and although Audiogene are a new century rock band, he sees a similar
star quality. |
Band manager is Mickey Modern, who has
managed Nine Below Zero, Steve Harley, Nik Kershaw, Dum Dums, Imogen Heap, and many more.
Both guys are 100% behind Audiogene.
Audiogene’s charismatic lead singer Johnny
Rockit has always been a huge ‘ Red Hot Chilli Peppers’ fan! If asked, he
will proudly show you a blood-splattered piece of paper with all the
RHCP’s autographs on it. How come? While Johnny was visiting friends in
America he took time out to visit the grave of dead band member Hillel
Slovak. By chance, the rest of the RHCP were there that day, and after
chatting to Johnny for a few minutes, they invited him back to their
house. You’ll have to ask Johnny about the blood, and the rest of that
day.
Guitarist Danny Peterson sold his flat, dropped his girlfriend, sold his
hi-fi, his car, and hopped on a plane from Australia to London to join
this band. That is an A Level in rock and roll.
Audiogene have recently played lots of dates around the UK supporting
American garage rockers 4 Star Mary thru May / June, and Clarkesville
through July. The guys are back into the studio to finish their first
album, after which they will be back on the road during this winter…watch
this space! |

Sadly Audiogene posted the following official
announcement on their website on Saturday 21/08/04
| Dear Everyone,
Unfortunately, the rumours are true and
all good things must come to an end. Audiogene have decided to wind
things down and disband after almost 3 years. We've had a really
good stab at making this band happen with the help of a lot of
dedicated people along the way, which we'd like to thank from the
bottom of our hearts.... you know who you are. Coincidentally, we
feel that last weeks NME announcement of the Beta Band split has
also described our situation perfectly.... 'The Audiogene apple
has over ripened and become riddled with maggots, it must fall from
the tree and let its seeds return to the ground.'
Your support and enthusiasm has been gratefully received and there
is no doubt that we would not have had such an exciting journey
without you... the fans, the friends and the family.
Our final performance will be on Friday 27th August at the
Greenbelt
Festival in Cheltenham, on stage 2 at 9.30pm. DON'T MISS THIS
GIG.
We love you all.
God Bless.
Johnny, Christian and Daniel.
